Hurricane Irma Is Coming
It hasn't even been a week since Harvey made landfall, and the US is possibly in the firing line for another severe storm. According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's National Hurricane Centre, Hurricane Irma is approaching and looks "extremely dangerous". This storm has been classified as a Category 3 storm on the Saffir–Simpson scale. Irma is due to cause damage if it makes landfall, however, it is moving in slowly. Irma is still sitting in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, however the Weather Channel has described it as "still uncertain and difficult". Hurricane Irma is hitting winds of about 115mph; that is equivalent to 185km/h. This has been named as the 9th Atlantic storm of the season. Many forecasters have predicted that this hurricane could turn north and head for the vastly populated mid-Atlantic region of the East Coast. Residents have been warned amidst the uncertainty around the direction of the storm.But What About The Damage?
Once the dust has settled and the storms have moved off, the clean up operation will have to take place. There has been a fair amount of irreparable damage caused to peoples' assets. This is, of course, going to cost lots of money and insurance companies are going to be working hard to regain control of the situation again.
