A WhatsApp voice note has gone viral where a woman describes that to get Wits Vice Chancellor Adam Habib's attention, "A white person must be killed in order to get their voices heard". The voice note starts with a comment on how disappointed protesters were about how Habib had handled the #FeesMustFall protest.
“So they are saying that in order to get Habib’s attention, at least one white student must die.”
CompareGuru_Billboard_2 Eye Witness News contacted Wits Management in order to ascertain if they were aware of the voice note. Wits considered the voice note a scare tactic by #FeesMustFall protesters in order to scare the #TakeWitsBack protesters who held a silent protest today on campus.
