With snow falling this week, and more expected before the end of winter, we find out where you can see it before summer kicks in.
Winter has officially hit South Africa, and already, several areas have seen some dustings of snow. If you are anything like us, we love taking a drive up into the mountains to take in the white winterland and the majestic views that the seasons brings. So, pack up some padkos, bundle the family up and head off to go and spot some snow. Here are our favourite spots:
Matroosberg
The Matroosberg Private Nature Reserve is situated about 30 minutes from Ceres on the Erfdeel farm. This is about 2 hours from Cape Town.The nice thing about going to view the snow here, is that you can stay here over the weekend.There is a wide range of activities to take part in while you enjoy your stay on the farm amongst the frost.Here are some of the activities to enjoy during your stay:
